How it began..

Here goes not only my first attempt at blogging, but also the trials and tribulations of my first Motorhome conversion.

In October last year I was (lucky enough) to be placed on gardening leave for 6 months... it wasn't long before I realised that everyone else I knew was working Monday to Friday.... I became bored.... which if you are me.. Is usually a dangerous state of mind to be in.

Somehow I came up with the frankly ludicrous idea that in a few months (and I genuinely thought 2-3) I could pop together a motorhome and then spend a month or two traveling... well that was the plan.

So in early January at about 6pm I felt the need to drive most of the way across the country dragging a good friend with me to retrieve my 2008 VW Crafter long wheelbase. Ideally I had wanted a sprinter but just could not find a decent low mileage example within the budget I had set myself.

The help I have received throughout this process has genuinely overwhelmed me. So as a kind of thank you I thought I would take the time to give something back to the "community" and hopefully others can benefit.
